What is

Nash?

Named in honor of John Nash, the Nash platform provides economic frameworks which can be customized to enable a wide variety of real world solutions. The built-in solution frameworks are rooted in literature from game theory, economics & computer science ensuring that solutions created using Nash incorporate subtle yet critical design patterns. By hiding the underlying subtleties of economics & distributed state machines, Nash enables solution designers & application developers to focus on solving the business problem and build better solutions, faster.

Nash's Architecture

Asset Module

The Asset Module enables the creation of flexible, configurable registries for assets. These registries contain both economic attributes such as asset owner, users who can access the asset, net value of the asset etc. as well as other information about an asset like location, description etc. The asset registry implementations are based on standards like ERC721 and have been enhanced with custom features.

State Machine

The Asset State Machine defines & enforces the values that an asset’s attributes can take It also enforces permissions on who can change which state attributes & under what conditions. The state machine can be customized to support different workflows and business processes. State transitions can also be tied to token based incentive mechanisms.

Incentive Mechanisms

Nash contains a library of incentive mechanisms which satisfy desirable game theoretic properties These mechanisms can be associated with selected state transitions to create powerful solutions e.g. an assets in a Sharing Economy can be made available to all by dynamically pricing access to the asset; the incentive mechanism also contains rules on how to handle no-shows, cancellations etc.

Token Module

The Nash Token Module enables the creation of custom tokens which can be used as a standard of value to trade assets and services in a Blockchain based solution. This module contains configurable algorithms for the creation, allocation & destruction of tokens. These algorithms extend the idea of Proof-of-Work to application layer tokens by supporting Proof-of-X.

Analytics Module

The Nash Analytics Module operates on the standardized data model of assets, tokens, states & incentive mechanisms. This module has built-in machine learning algorithms optimized for analyzing deployed solution at multiple levels of resolution. The module also contains an agent based simulator which allows analysis of economic solutions before deploying to the real world.

Application Library

Application developers can access any combination of these four modules using the Nash Application Library. The library contains APIs to access Nash functionality either via JavaScript or via REST interfaces. The library has pre-integrated support for industry-leading wallets.
